Farmhouse Style twin-over-full Bunkbed

This piece was commissioned by a local family that wanted another place to put visiting adults and children when they came to stay.

Each bed frame is locked together by through tenons pinned with removable oak dowels. This was requested to allow the bed to be easily transported, assembled, and moved when the need arises. The pins are removed either by hand or (when held fast by the repeated climbing and jumping of little ones) with channel lock plies.

The top bunk is located and secured on the head and foot board of the bottom bunk via 1” diameter oak dowels. The ladder is screwed to the top bunk.
