Dovetailed Letter Box

Inspired by a photo posted by Jays Custom Creations, this was my first project laid out using only dividers and simple proportions.

Having recently gone through By Hand & Eye, I was eager to begin designing “at the point of a tool”. This project was an attractive entry point, as it involved only joinery I was familiar with and provided me a model against which to judge whether my proportions were pleasing.
