1920s Kitchen Remodel

One of the larger Victorian homes on Steubenville’s downtown 5th street had sat uninhabited for some years in between owners. When an unchecked pipe leak destroyed part of the kitchen ceiling and floor, the new owners decided it was time for a complete kitchen renovation; no part of the room was left untouched!

With the exception of two new recessed over sink lights, the physical structure of the room was left unchanged and all the components were updated. We added new butcher block countertops, a new deep sink, new hardware, new quarter round, a new tile backsplash, and repaired the water damaged portion of the ceiling and walls before painting all surfaces. After first opting for a new Snaplock floor, we decided instead to refinish the original hardwood floors.
